French-speaking Express Entry candidates invited in recent Nova Scotia draw
The Nova Scotia Nominee Program's Labour Market Priorities Stream prioritized French-speaking Express Entry candidates in a new invitation round that took place March 20. Candidates invited to apply for a provincial nomination through the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities were required to have French selected as their first official language and demonstrate a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 or high in all French language abilities. Among other requirements, Express Entry candidates invited on March 20 also had to meet the following criteria: Have English as a second official language with a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 5 or higher in English in all language abilities; Hold a bachelor's degree OR have completed a program of three or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute; and Have submitted an expression of interest to the Express Entry pool on or after September 20, 2018. The Nova Scotia Office of Immigration (NSOI) said candidates invited on March 20 have to provide copies of both language tests and proof of education that demonstrates a bachelor's degree or higher with their complete application for a Nova Scotia provincial nomination.
